No. KUVR films use automotive-grade adhesive engineered for clean removal. When removed properly (typically with gentle heat), they leave no residue and are safe for paint, chrome, and headlight/taillight housings.
For our headlight, taillight, foglight, and emblem tint kits — yes, a heat gun (or a hair dryer in a pinch) is strongly recommended. The TPU/PPF film is designed to stretch and conform to curves with heat. Chrome delete overlays generally don't require heat for application but may benefit from light heat on tight curves.
Tiny bubbles are normal and typically self-release within 24–48 hours as the adhesive sets. For larger bubbles, gently lift the nearest edge, smooth it back down, and press from the center outward.
